A plea
Hello, internet. My name is Mark Hale. You may know me from twitter as @ChaosMonkey, or as the co-creator of @FakeAPStylebook and co-editor of the FakeAPStylebook book “Write More Good.” You may even have known me way back in the olden times of 2004 as a slow-to-update comics blogger. Whatever the case, thanks for reading this. It’s kind of long and it gets a little tough.
I am in Louisville, KY, and I am unemployed. Have been for two months. Unemployment was denied because the national cable company I worked for terminated me for not making sales at what is, at its core, a tech support position. The job was, for me, unimaginably stressful and I don’t miss it. What I do miss is the money, or rather what the money allowed me to do, which is take care of my pets.
